London home support · From £30 / hour
Someone who’ll remember she takes her tea without milk.
Kindred companions spend 12.5 hours a week keeping your parent’s home running and life genuinely interesting — cooking, errands, outings, company. No clinical overheads. No strangers with clipboards.

What a Kindred week actually looks like.
Monday’s grocery shop is done before lunch. Wednesday’s batch cooking fills the kitchen with something that actually smells good — a proper shepherd’s pie, not reheated portions. Thursday afternoon is planned around what she actually wants to do: the garden centre, a walk by the canal, a film she’s been meaning to see for months.
Saturday morning the house is sorted before the family visits. The phone is working properly again. She’s eaten well all week. And she’s had someone worth talking to.
We don’t offer bathing, dressing, toileting, or medication — personal care as defined by the Care Act. This is a deliberate choice, not a gap. It lets us focus entirely on companion support, without clinical overhead.
Getting started is simpler than you’d think.
A phone call
About 20 minutes. We want to hear about your parent's routine, what they enjoy, and what a good day looks like. No forms, no scripts — just a conversation.
We come to you
A Kindred team member visits the home, at no charge. We'd rather meet your parent than read about them. The assessment usually takes an hour.
We find the right match
You'll see the companion's profile before anyone visits. If it doesn't feel right within the first couple of visits, we rematch — no fuss, no charge.
“She used to say Tuesdays were her favourite day of the week. That’s what we’re here for.”
